Do you Accept Purchase Orders?
Yes. Pins Unlimited accepts purchase orders from Universities, Government Agencies and K-12 School Systems upon review. We offer 30-day Payment Terms with no interest, and payment can be made by check or credit card by the due date.
Do you offer Solid Gold or Solid Sterling Silver Lapel Pins?
No. All of our lapel pins, like most custom lapel pins you will find, are stamped from copper, brass, or steel, and then electroplated with 14K Gold, Nickel, Black Nickel, Copper, or Black Dyed. Very few suppliers of custom lapel pins offer solid precious metal pins, because these are very expensive, and considered a different type of product than a tradtional lapel pin.
What is the difference between cloisonne and soft enamel lapel pins?
The difference between Cloisonne and Soft enamel lapel pins is the method in which each pin is colored (or painted).
Soft enamel pins are die struck from a metal blank, leaving raised metal, and recessed metal areas. Think of the raised metal as retaining walls, and the recessed areas as a swimming pool. The paint found in soft enamel pins is only filled up halfway to the top, leaving the painted areas slightly sunken in, or recessed, and the metal “Retaining walls” raised. This is ideal where a textured appearance is the objective.
Cloisonne lapel pins begin the same way, in that they are stamped from a metal blank, leaving raised and recessed metal areas, however once the cloisonne lapel pins are painted, the paint is filled all the way to the brim, leaving a smooth, shiny surface all the way across the lapel pins. Cloisonne pins are considered the highest quality lapel pins manufactured, and they are compared to jewelry in this regard.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Our minimum order quantity is 100 pins, however under special circumstances we are able to produce fewer lapel pins. Please check with a sales representative for further information.
