A typical order includes a single plating color, however if you require multiple platings, just ask a representative and we'll be happy to help you. There are typically no additional fees required for additional plating colors. For example, we can divide your order between different platings; 100 gold plated lapel pins & 100 nickel plated lapel pins would be 200 total pins. There are no additional fees for this service, and your order would be priced just as if you ordered 200 gold plated lapel pins.
Some lapel pin manufacturers charge a fee for antique finishes...
Pins Unlimited does not. We offer antique finishes at no additional charge for all lapel pin orders.
A great way to create a visual difference between years of service pins is to change the plating between each year. A typical example of how many companies use different plating colors for years of service lapel pins would look something like the example below.
1-4 Years - Copper Plating
5-9 Years - Nickel Plating
10+ Years - Gold Plating
20+ Years - Antique Nickel Plating
25+ Years - Antique Gold Plating
